Overview

The week schedule wants to give a general overview about the main and side events that take place during the congress. The location of each event can be seen on the floor plan.

 

The program under the general theme of Mobility and change in music: music and music research in international context includes, in addition to the three main symposia, meetings of eight internal research groups of the Gesellschaft für Musikforschung, roundtables, more than 50 presentations of free papers and a large variety of cultural events with guided tours through Rome as city of music, concerts and an excursion to Palestrina, the birth house of the renowned composer named after this town.

The festive opening ceremony in the presence of the State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, Cornelia Quennet-Thielen, is proceeded by a reception by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Italy.
