Public transport


In Rome, there are two subway lines (Metro line A and Metro line B), a couple of tram lines, and a lot of bus lines.

From the main conference venue, you can take theses buses to the city centre:

Bus line 98 to St Peter's Basilica and Piazza Navona (last stop Paola). To go to Piazza Venezia, change at Via Gregorio VII to the line 916 (last stop Piazza Venezia).
Bus line 881: like Bus line 98 (last stop Paola).
Bus line 889 (direction Val Cannuta) to Metro station Cornelia, Line A (stop De La Salle).

Bus line 892 (direction Valle Aurelia) to Metro station Baldo degli Ubaldi, Line A (stop Irnerio).

 


Tickets

Tickets are valid for the whole ATAC network of Rome. They are available at metro stations, at the main station Termini as well as at kiosks or bars. You should care to have a valid ticket before entering the bus or the metro.

There are different kinds of tickets available:

BIT (Biglietto Integrato a Tempo): Single ticket € 1,00
Valid for 75 Minutes, Changing the line is possible, but only one

BIG (Biglietto Integrato Giornaliero): Day ticket € 4,00
Valid until the end of service at that day.

BTI (Biglietto Turistico Integrato): Three days ticket € 11,00
Valid für 3 days until the end of service.

CIS (Carta Integrata Settimanale): Week ticket € 16,00
Valid for a week until the end of service. The ticket has to have the name of its owner and is not transferable to another person.

Lunch

 

Close to the main conference venue you will find three possibilities to eat:  

School Bar

The Bar of the German School Rome is open during the whole congress. You will find snacks, coffee, softdrinks, beer, wine, and desserts there.

Restaurant Arturo


The Restaurant Arturo, Via Aurelia Antica, 413/411, is approximately 200m left outside the main conference venue.

The Restaurant offers a special lunch for 10 Euro including side dish, water and coffee for conference participants. Please don't forget your name badge. Of course, you can order à la carte as well.

Restaurant La Nocetta

The Restaurant La Nocetta, Via Aurelia Antica, 378, is approximately 300m left outside the main conference venue. It is closed on wednesday, 3rd November. Order à la carte.
