Welcome to the website of the International Congress of the Gesellschaft für Musikforschung on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Music History Department of the German Historical Institute in Rome.
From the 2nd to the 6th November 2010 the Gesellschaft für Musikforschung is being welcomed at the German Historical Institute in Rome to participate in the anniversary celebrations of the Music History Department – whose foundation in 1960 it strongly initiated – with an international congress.
Conference programme changes

The Free Paper by Christoph Koop (Section I, Part 1, 11.00 o'clock) had to be cancelled.
Thursday, 4th November 2010
The Villa Massimo concert will start at 8 pm, not at 9 pm.
Friday, 5th November 2010
The Guided Tour “Music in Palaces“ by Olaf Brühl will last from 3-5 pm.
Saturday, 6th November 2010
The Guided Tour in the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana will start at 9.30 am, not at 9 am.
